Currently our home is in Cupertino (California). What's cooking around the House?
We are living in an Eichler home, 2.5mi (4km) off the San Andreas fault.

Because of the possibility of earthquakes (everybody waits for the BIG ONE) we are very active in earthquake preparedness in our neighborhood (220 homes). We established various groups like First Aid, Communications, Shelter & Needs, etc. - I am in the Search and Rescue team. At least once a year we have a drill to test our readyness. Here in the Bay Area we naturally have web sites dealing with earthquakes. If you visit this site you can pick a city (e.g. Cupertino) and a scenario (e.g. San Andreas) to obtain detailed information.

In Germany, I was a member in two music bands. Both are represented on the Internet:
In the early years it was the Musikverein Himmelsthür, and later, when we lived in the Black Forest, the MVH Etzenrot.

Finally, I retired on May 31, 2005 after 35 years with HP.
