June 2000 - Rafting on the Colorado River
- In Camp -

Two typical camp sites

Drinking Water Station

Wash your hands before you eat!

The kitchen at dinner time

Bedroom under the stars

Wash your hands after the toilet visit
Note: The yellow cushion is the toilet "key".
(Key here = toilet is free)

And here is the toilet. Green bucket for "little business", black box for "big business", red box for Bio-Hazards.
The black box is called the "groover". (Before there was a snap-on seat, people were just sitting on the box, and, after getting up they had two additional grooves in their behind.)

1st breakfast at around 5:15

2nd breakfast at around 5:45
Here we get eggs to order
Needless to say that the food on this trip was excellent. Always fresh fruit and vegetables, and a great variety of different combinations. See here for our menus.
